Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord and flautist piano over three years. She managed to make it by surviving on a student stipend, as she worked part-time. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy in her performance when as compared to the performance of her classmates. She began considering other options. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. The singer was the primary singer for The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. In this band, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form their own group, the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox was then able to begin work on her first solo album Diva and it was released by 1992. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. Her first solo album along with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled "Now I'm letting You Go."
