
Jennifer has always wanted to be a multi-tasking celebrity. She was an avid fan of a wide range music styles in her youth, which included Afro-Caribbean beats, such as merengue, salsa, and bachata. Later on, as an adult her favorite genres were mainstream pop-hop, R&B as well as hip-hop. Though she loved film, it was the industry of music that also intrigued her. West Side Story, a musical by Rita Moreno (1961), was the most influential film for her. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer was also an entertainer and a Catholic schoolgirl, attended 8 years of Holy Family Catholic Primary School located in The Bronx. After completing the four-year course and graduation, she attended Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. Jennifer, a talented athlete who was a part of tennis and track at school , was also an impressive pupil. Then, in Castle Hill, she spent her early years in a two-story home. After turning 18, Jennifer moved out of her parent's home. Lopez began working at the law office, while also dancing late at night.
